Common questions

Restore a subscription on a new phone

Open the app, go to Settings, and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. Your memorization progress is stored on the phone itself, so it does not carry over; you can mark surahs you already know from the Progress tab.

Cancel or change the subscription

Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Open the iPhone Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Scroll Your Quran. Cancelling keeps access until the end of the period you paid for. A free trial converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.

Report an error in the text, translation or audio

On any ayah, use Report an error (in the reader's Listen sheet, the Tafsir screen, or during a session). The report includes the ayah reference and your note, nothing else. The Quran text comes unmodified from the Tanzil Project; translations and tafsir come from the Quranic Encyclopedia (QuranEnc); corrections are passed upstream.

Audio does not play

Recitation streams the first time you play an ayah and is then kept on the phone. Check your connection for the first play, or download a surah from the Listen sheet to keep it offline.

Delete my data

Deleting the app deletes your progress, because it only lives on the phone. Anonymous server records (error reports and usage counts) are not linked to you; email us and we will remove any you identify by date and ayah.
